State of Shock
I hate my dentist! How dare he get out of town when he told us to go back to his clinic last saturday. That was the only Sat. that we were available. Actually, we didn't really want to go to Pampanga because of the distribution of cards and due to the huge pile of homework. Well, since we did not know that he wasn't around, we went home. Tita Cristy was the one who got our cards. After arriving from the clinic, fuming with anger, I called her and told her that our trip to Pampanga was useless and asked about our grades. She then dictated our grades with my ranking and the top 15 of Copernicus. Shocked, awed, lost for words, these are just a few to describe my reaction as my aunt mention the names. As my aunt was mentioning the names, I can't stop myself from commenting. My sister also has her comments. To find out that I reached top 5 came as a big shock for me because I wasn't aiming that high. I was actually aiming just for top 8, top 7 max. As long as my grades reached the required grade for a Gold Medal, I'll already be contented. I never imagined buying for honors. I guess my slogan of out of love, out of inspiration, out of life is actually the reason for my achievement. My sole focus is on studies, I never knew that this would be the reward for my hard work. I am not at ease. I have to maintain my stand or rise. There is nowhere to go but up. I'm sure everyone will work double time and doubly hard this next quarter and I plan to do the same. My current focus is on the parliamentary contest but after the contest has passed I'll be back right on track. GC mode again. I just hope that I could still do better next time. I also wish everyone else luck. I know that everyone really works hard and I'm sure everyone's hard work will pay off, one way or another. I guess that's all for now. Toodles!
