A punch on the head by the Eagles
As the title implies that is what I felt the moment I got home yesterday evening at about 8 pm. Yesterday was the Ateneo College Entrance Test. Unlike the UPCAT I was not able to prepare for this test, not even opening one book. I was quite nervous since people keep saying that ACET is a lot more difficult than UPCAT especially when it comes to English and Math. I expected the worst but at that moment I had the "Bahala Na!" system in me. I woke up at about 8 am. Took a bath, prepared myself, ate a light breakfast and set off for the North Ave. St. of MRT where I'll be meeting my dad. I was not aware that it was at the other side of the MRT Station. I had never travelled using the MRT alone. It was a first for me. I liked passing through the GMA - Kamuning Station and seeing the GMA Building. Anyhow, more on that later, as I reached my destination, I found my dad and we walked a bit. Once reaching SM North Edsa we waited for a taxi and set off for Ateneo. We passed UP along the way and it seemed like yesterday that I was just taking the UPCAT but it has already been more than a month. After twists and turns we arrived at our destination. I was so stupid to forget the map of the place but the guard pointed us to the right direction, Ateneo High School, where I'll be taking my test. To my surprise, the first MaScian that I saw was Anna. I was even more surprised to know that she will be taking the test at the same room. I have been wishing for a companion who will take the test at Room 14 and alas I was gifted with two companions, the other one was Ralph who was already running for he was late but the test started late so he got there just in time. Upon arriving I bought food and ate at the cafeteria. Then Anna and I met a few other MaScians. We met Therese, Royce, Nikko, Ina, Christian, Christelle, and Mike. Therese, Anna and I walked around the HS campus while waiting for the time. We suddenly realized that we're all Urey and wondered why Urey never meets up and goes out like all our other previous sections. Anyhoo, we had some catching up to do so stories were pouring out of our mouths. When it was time to line up, we were so bad cause we cut the line and proceeded in front. It was a very long wait even if we're already lined up and it was so hot. Good thing Anna had a fan. When we were already asked to proceed to the rooms I was surprised that we would only be taking the test in the classrooms when it was boiling inside the rooms.
Well, what can I say about the test? It was average. It was not difficult and not that easy either. What gave me a headache was the high temperature inside the room. It bothered me throughout the test. After the test, at exactly 6:20, Ralph, Anna and I set off to meet our parents. Upon seeing my dad we rushed to go because he still had to go to work in Pampanga at 10 pm. Waiting for a taxi was like waiting for snow to fall. My dad's temper was already being tested by the lack of available taxis. Good thing that heaven sent one and it wasn't traffic. When I arrived once again at the North Ave. St. I was already hungry, tired and my head was pounding. My only entertainment during that ride were the two teens who got in the train at the GMA-Kamuning Station who were from the audition fro the Starstruck! the Next Level. Not to be judgmental or anything but I don't think that they have the 'It' factor for Starstruck! They were talking about the previous Starstruck batches and it was amusing to listen to them silently. All in all, the day was a fruitful one and I think I did good in my exam. I just have to wait for the Winter Months to find out the results of the two college entrance exams I have taken wherein during that time I hope I'll be asking the Question: "Maroons or Eagles?"
